Reported by Aldi Geri Lumban Tobing | Translated by Nugroho Adibrata
The construction of the CP202 MRT Jakarta Phase 2A, which began on July 27, 2022, reached 6.82 percent until September 15, 2022.
These multi-story stations and tunnels are needed because Sawah Besar and Mangga Besar stations are built just under Jalan Gajah Mada (Sawah Besar Station) and Jalan Hayam Wuruk (Mangga Besar Station)
Several works are carried out at this stage such as the installation of Moveable Concrete Barriers (MCB) and fences as part of traffic engineering management, archeological test pit activities, and planting of affected trees.
Contract package 202 (CP202) is one of the segments of the MRT Jakarta Phase 2A construction work with the scope of work on the construction of Harmoni, Sawah Besar, and Mangga Besar stations. Including underground tunnels from Harmoni to Mangga Besar for a total of 1.8 kilometers (tunnels and stations).
MRT Jakarta Provides Public Information Center in Kota Tua AreaPT Jakarta Corporate Secretary Division Head, Rendi Alhial stated that the design of the CP202 tunnel and station is different from the CP201 and CP203 Phase 2A and 1. There are two main differences in the type of tunnel and underground station.
At Phase 1 and other Phase 2A stations, the underground station type consisted of two floors, while CP202 had four floors. Tunnel type CP202 is stacked, while Phase 1, as well as CP201 and CP203, are parallel.
"These multi-story stations and tunnels are needed because Sawah Besar and Mangga Besar stations are built just under Jalan Gajah Mada (Sawah Besar Station) and Jalan Hayam Wuruk (Mangga Besar Station)," he explained, Monday (10/3).
He explained that the four floors at the two stations will consist of the first floor as a concourse platform, the second floor as a platform for the tunnel to the south (Lebak Bulus Grab Station), the third floor as a concourse platform, and the fourth floor as a tunnel platform leading to the north (City Station).
